About · The team behind ReplyWorks

Not an agency. A small senior team doing the actual work.

ReplyWorks is led by Syed Ali Naqi — 8+ years of B2B outbound across 400+ projects — and a senior operator crew. A named lead runs your account from first audit call through weekly KPI reporting, and stays on the account from day one through month six.

Built specifically for $10K–$100K MRR B2B SaaS and agencies who need outbound that actually ships.

Upwork verified · 100% JSS · Top Rated Plus on both founder & agency profiles·50+ B2B engagements

A small team with a clear thesis — not a 30-person agency renting space on the real work.

Thesis

Outbound is an engineering problem — run it like one.

Most outbound agencies treat this like a sales function with some tooling bolted on. The operators who actually win treat it like a system: signal in, messages out, iterate.

01

Infrastructure first, copy last.

If deliverability is broken, no amount of copy tuning lands replies in the primary inbox. Domains, warmup, DNS, inbox rotation — these are the foundation. Anyone skipping this is building on sand.

02

Signal > volume.

A 1,000-contact list where every record has a recent trigger (funding, hire, tech stack change) beats a 20,000-contact list enriched to "has email." The whole waterfall — Clay, Datagma, Findymail, Apify actors — exists to deliver signal.

03

Personalization at scale is human, not AI.

AI drafts openers; humans QA every line before send. The output has to read like it came from a thoughtful operator — because it did. "AI copy" without human review is the exact pattern your buyers are trying to filter out.

04

One senior team owns the whole loop.

Strategy, sourcing, infra, copy, iteration — delivered by the same crew who sat in your audit. Results improve when the team holds full context from audit to month six, because context is the thing that compounds.

Background

Eight years, 400+ projects, one thesis.

A quick look at who’s on the crew and what you’re actually hiring when you hire ReplyWorks.

Syed Ali Naqi
Founder & lead operator

Started running outbound for B2B SaaS and agencies in 2018 on Upwork. My founder profile is Top Rated Plus and the ReplyWorks agency profile is also Top Rated Plus — 100% Job Success Score across 400+ projects, $100K+ earned — all on the same thesis: stop pitching, build the system.

Before ReplyWorks, I watched founder after founder sign with a fancy-looking outbound agency, get handed to a junior, and quietly churn after 90 days with nothing to show for it. The pattern was the problem: agencies were optimizing for headcount billing, not for client pipeline.

ReplyWorks is my answer to that. I lead strategy and copy; a senior crew runs infra, sourcing, and iteration alongside me. We take on the number of accounts we can do the craft justice on — and grow the team as demand grows, senior-first. When you hire ReplyWorks, you get a named lead, a stable crew, and direct Slack access to the operators writing the Clay tables and delivering the weekly KPI report. That’s the whole product.

How we work

Operating principles — the stuff no one puts in the MSA.

These aren’t values-poster values. They’re the actual day-to-day rules that govern how we run client work.

Transparency by default

Weekly KPI report + raw numbers spreadsheet. No prettified-dashboard theater. If a test failed, you see the failure and what we’re changing.

Say "not a fit" early

If outbound isn’t the right channel for your ACV or maturity stage, we’ll say so in the audit call — and recommend what is. Losing a $1K/month deal is cheaper than losing 90 days of your runway.

Operator-grade, not agency-grade

Agency-grade means "polished deliverables and account managers." Operator-grade means the people writing the Clay table are the people on your Slack channel. You get judgment, not process.

Scope discipline

No mid-quarter "let’s also spin up TikTok ads" detours. If you want to expand scope, it becomes its own engagement with its own plan — not a bullet bolted onto the weekly KPI report.

Tools at cost, no markup

Tool costs are bundled at actual cost. We don’t resell Clay seats at 3x. The monthly fee is the operator fee; the infrastructure is pass-through.

Exit-friendly

You own the domains, inboxes, and lead lists from day one. On exit, you get full access and a 30-day handover — we’ll even train your in-house hire if you want. No lock-in via assets we control.

The road here

From Upwork freelancer to purpose-built operator shop.

The short history — mostly so you know this isn’t a team that just discovered outbound last quarter.

2018

Started outbound work on Upwork

First engagements were copywriting + LinkedIn prospecting for B2B SaaS founders. Realized most clients were getting crushed on deliverability — not copy.

2020

Founder profile hits Top Rated Plus + first $50K earned

By this point running outbound systems end-to-end for 20+ clients. Shifted from hourly copywriting to flat-monthly system contracts.

2022

ReplyWorks agency hits Top Rated Plus + $100K earned

Spun up ReplyWorks as a standalone agency profile on Upwork — the agency earned Top Rated Plus alongside the founder profile. 100% JSS maintained across 250+ projects. Clients started referring each other — stopped taking new work from Upwork’s search.

2024–now

ReplyWorks as a standalone brand

Built the team from solo to small crew — now running ~10–15 simultaneous engagements at operator-grade quality. Toolkit, playbooks, and audit process all open and reusable.

Beyond work

Why we keep doing this.

Short version — we like systems, we like founders who care about craft, and outbound sits at the intersection.

What we read

Deliverability whitepapers, cold email teardowns, anti-spam research. When we’re not deep in those: long-form essays on systems design and B2B positioning (April Dunford, Peep Laja, Blair Enns).

Where we’re active

Syed writes on LinkedIn most weeks — mostly teardowns of bad outbound we’ve received. We also publish free playbooks on this site (see the Playbooks section). No paid newsletter, no course, no private community.

What we’re building next

Deeper automation around signal triggers (funding rounds, exec hires, tech stack changes) so ICPs are refreshed weekly instead of quarterly. If you want to be a pilot client on this, ask on the intro call.

Book a 20-minute intro with Syed. He’ll look at your current outbound (or outbound plan), tell you what’s working, what isn’t, and whether ReplyWorks is the right fit — or point you somewhere that is. Straight talk, not a pitch.
